Some newer version heating elements (from 1992 on) in the Europiccola now come with the hole for the pressurestat. Compare your existing element to the image provided above as a side-by-side comparison; there have been many variations and revisions on the La Pavoni heating elements over the 50 + years they have been in production, and some versions are no longer available.
